Overview
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Structured products are a key element in today’s investment strategies, supporting risk mitigation, yield generation, and portfolio diversification. In Malaysia, the exchange-traded structured products market continues to evolve under the oversight of Bursa Malaysia and the Securities Commission (SC), with a growing range of issuers and underlying assets. Hong Kong, on the other hand, remains a leading hub for structured products, backed by a mature regulatory framework governed by the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) and the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). As both markets expand and adapt to changing investor needs, it is vital for capital market professionals to keep pace with developments in product structuring, trading dynamics, and regulatory requirements. This webinar offers timely insights into the structured products and derivatives markets in Malaysia and Hong Kong, delivered by expert speakers from Bursa Malaysia and HKEX.
Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of market development trends, regulatory frameworks, and emerging opportunities for issuers and investors. The programme will explore the ecosystem of structured products, highlighting opportunities, risks, and compliance considerations. It will also examine the rapid evolution of Hong Kong’s derivatives market, including the growth of single stock options (SSOs) and the introduction of weekly stock options. The webinar concludes with a panel discussion on the practical applications of structured products in wealth management, offering real-world perspectives, best practices, and success stories. This session is tailored to equip capital market professionals with the insights and tools needed to navigate a dynamic and fast-evolving market.
