IPO Building Blocks Series: Workshop on IPO and the 5 Focus Areas

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

• Review the provisions of the Capital Markets & Services Act 2007 (CMSA) relating to Initial Public Offering (IPO) approvals, applications and grounds for decisions.
• Examine the relationship between the CMSA and the Securities Commission (SC)’s Guidelines on IPOs including the Equity Guidelines
• Analyze the underlying principles of the five (5) IPO focus areas and assess the possible scenarios that would give rise to concerns
• Analyze the frequently raised issues in IPO applications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
