IPO Building Blocks Series: You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know

OBJECTIVES

• The programme will provide an overview for senior investment bankers to gain a broad understanding of the requirements for listing of companies on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia.
• It will examine the pertinent requirements relating to IPO approval, disclosure documents, regulatory expectations and is designed to guide participants through a systematic and logical thought process of how to deal with non-compliance situations.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

• Review the rules and regulations applicable for listing of companies on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia
• Interpret the listing requirements from a regulatory perspective
• Evaluate the possible impact of the non-compliances on the applicant’s suitability for listing
• Assess the issues or situations on non-compliances and consider if these may be resolved with appropriate disclosures

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

• MIBA Members’ senior level personnel :
  (i) having oversight or decision making relating to Specific Proposals;
  (ii) attending or participating in Senior Officers Committee; and
  (iii) responsible for governance and regulatory compliance.

Cancellation / Substitution
Cancellations or refunds within one (1) week from the date of the programme will NOT be entertained. Non-attendance does not constitute cancellation and no refund will be given. Substitute(s) will be accepted provided forty-eight (48) hours prior written notice is received.
