ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) risks have been the focus for financial institutions and capital market intermediaries in recent years as regulators continue to issue guidelines and requirements relating to ESG given the demand for sustainable products and services. This has resulted in the need to shift from compliance driven approaches to proactive risk mitigation strategies by integrating ESG considerations and risks into business plans, decision making processes, internal controls and risk frameworks.

Continuous risk management and reporting in a transparent manner is crucial to mitigate ESG risks that are detrimental to an institution’s reputation and sustainability. Failure to manage the risks would lead to substantial financial consequences for institutions that provide financing or investment to those exposed to such risks.

This webinar will contextualize sustainability risks and how they would appear in an organization’s daily operations through the perspectives of climate risks such as transition, physical and liability, and social risks such as operational health and safety, human and labor rights. Understanding reporting frameworks, its content, use cases as well as issues with existing reporting methodologies will also be examined. In addition, the webinar will discuss environment and social risks that may manifest and best practices towards mitigating and managing potential ESG risks.

Cancellation / Substitution
